Shirley’s Obituary SHIRLEY JOAN (LAURHAMMER) GAGNON, 86, of Blue Bell, PA and formerly of Groveton, NH died peacefully Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell, PA. Shirley was born in Berlin, NH on May 28, 1932, the daughter of Monrad and Signe (Paulson) Laurhammer, she was raised in Groveton and was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1950. She graduated from UNH in 1954 with her Bachelor’s of Arts degree.

Shirley worked at the Leigh Clinic for one year before getting married. She then worked for McNeal Pharmaceuticals (Johnson & Johnson) from 1980 to 1993 when she retired as sales administrator. She loved playing golf.

Shirley is survived by her son Steven Gagnon and wife Pamela of Bethlehem, PA; daughter Karla Caton and husband Tim of Akron, OH; her brother Einar “Sweed” Laurhammer and wife Martina of El Paso, TX; four granddaughters Kendra Shaw; Dana Shaw; Rachel Caton; and Emily Caton; three grandsons Zachary Gagnon; Matthew Gagnon and Benjamin Gagnon; one niece Ingrid Rodriguez of El Paso, TX. At Shirley’s request, there will be no calling hours. Graveside service will be held in the spring in the Northumberland Cemetery.
