Shirley Johnson February 24, 1929 – May 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Haymon Johnson, 90, of Baton Rouge, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8th from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Vernon Parish. She was a retired cashier from the National Food Store Chain, and worked for several years at Walmart in Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jerry & Florence Jeane Haymon, and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her 5 children: William & Sandra Sonnier of Alexandria, LA, Ronald & Mitzi Sonnier of Baton Rouge, LA, Brian Johnson of Alexandria, LA, Paulette & Richard Godfrey of Nutley, NJ, and Beth Johnson of Atlanta, GA; One Brother: Wendell Haymon of Columbus, NC; One Sister: Lynn Wolkis of Phoenix, AZ; 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren; A host of nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Johnson would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice of Baton Rouge for their loving care.
