Obituary for Shirley June Jones Gillentine Shirley June Jones Gillentine, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and teacher, whose life was filled with love, laughter and music. She was a member of Bartlett United Methodist Church.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Frank Gillentine and her parents, Harry and Zillah Jones. She is survived by a daughter, Ellen (Ross) Hamilton and son, Andy (Glenna) Gillentine; six grandchildren, Trey Hamilton, Drew Hamilton, Melanie Hamilton Sobczak, Claire Gillentine Ward, Lauren Gillentine Harris and Jenny Gillentine Mulholland and thirteen great-grandchildren. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Friday, November 16 at Bartlett United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Arrangements for her eternal rest have been made by Bartlett Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted, as Shirley loved beautiful flowers. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Shirley may be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Bartlett United Methodist Church.
