OBITUARY Shirley L. Wood August 13, 1940 – January 5, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Shirley Louise Wood, age 78, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019. She was born Tuesday, August 13, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee and is preceded in death by her parents, Otis Cordell and Lena Roberta Cox Bryant; her husband, Arthur Lee Wood; brothers, Dale and Roger Bryant. Shirley enjoyed the outdoors which included hunting, fishing, bowling swimming, water skiing and amateur photography.

A retired consultant for the Nashville Credit Bureau, she is survived by her children, Kelly (Carol) Wood, Ricky (Dixie) Wood, Cindy (Larry) Morgan; grandchildren, Joshua Trent (Yasmin) Wood, Chase (Megan) Morgan; and 5 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 10:00 Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers are: Mike Vaughn, Tony Vaughn, Phil Wilson, Charles Henderson, Rick Haliburton, Larry Morgan; Honorary are: Trent Wood, Chase Morgan, Mark Moreland. Family and friends will gather to remember Shirley at a visitation Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 and Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 8:00 until the 10:00 service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
