Shirley Louise Martin went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 17, 2018. Shirley was born on September 25, 1932 in Hominy, Ok. to loving parents Ruby Lillian Cooper and Ogie Titus (O.T.) Jones.

Her early years were spent in Tulsa until the family moved to Collinsville, where O.T. bought Jones Hardware and Furniture. A 1951 graduate and band member of Collinsville High School, Shirley went on to attend Oklahoma A&M where she was a member of the A&M marching band In 1952, Shirley was married to Kenneth Mason where they welcomed their loving children, Marilyn Louise, Charlotte Rae and Mickey Ted. Shirley was employed by Jones and Laughlin as an administrative assistant.

She was the director of the Tulsa Engineering Society where she published a monthly newsletter in addition to her regular duties. She worked at Williams Companies until she married Howard Martin in 1978. Howard and Shirley lived in Omaha, Nebraska where Howard worked for Northwest Airlines.

The couple later moved to Memphis, Tennessee and lived there until his passing in 1992. Shirley then returned to Tulsa where she was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church as an usher, senior ambassador choir member and a member of various circles. For several years, Shirley was a gift shop volunteer at St. Francis Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and O.T., her son, Mickey Ted, husband Howard Eugene, stepson Bob Martin and son-in-law Gerald Benn. Shirley leaves behind, daughter and son-in-law Marilyn and Richard Dirickson, daughter Charlotte Benn, grandchildren Raquel King, Landon Dirickson, Amanda Benn, Nicole and Chris Shubert and Angela Martin. Great-grandchildren Priscilla King, Alyssia King, Jayson Garrett, Dylan Shubert and Alyssa Martin.
