Mrs. Shirley M. Miller, 83, of Union Hill/Franklin Township, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Sunday, May 19th at The Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Roy Miller Jr. of Union Hill.

They were married for 63 years this past March 10, 2019. Born on Thursday, May 30, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Jacob & Mary (Ritzauer) Moser. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a millworker in the garment industry.

She previously worked for Wisbie’s Mills &The Freed Glass Co. in Perkasie, Pa. A family oriented person, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Michelle M. wife of Ronald Ketchledge of Long Run/Franklin Township Pa.

, 2 sons, Roy Miller & his companion Loretta Goida of Quakertown, Steven Miller & his wife Tara of Florida, 2 sisters, Wendy Moser of Summit Hill Pa. , Sherry Thompson of Ashfield, Pa. a brother, Frank Moser & his wife Jean of Lehighton, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters, Carol Rehrig, Judith Moser, Linda Hibbler, & brothers Denny, Richard, Lawrence, Larry, Lance, Terry & Paul Moser. Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10 a.m. in The Union Hill Cemetery, Union Hill Road, with Mrs. Carol Roberts officiating. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to The Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad Street, Nesquehoning, Pa.
