Sonja F. Yonts (nee Hall), 71, of Spencer, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday December 13, 2018. She was born March 9, 1947 in Boone County, Kentucky, and resided in Spencer for the past 18 years. She was a homemaker and loved to take care of her family.

She especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sonja also enjoyed making clocks and thrift shopping. Sonja Yonts is survived by; her husband of 55 years, Dennel L. Yonts; one son, Gregory A. Yonts of Cleveland; three daughters, Kelly D. Yonts of Cleveland, Michelle L. Yonts of Cleveland and Aylissa Kaye Yonts of Spencer; five grandchildren, Kristina Torres (Giovanni) of Cleveland, Samantha Taylor (Nicholas) of Cleveland, Lacia Rutherford (John Jr.) of North Ridgeville, Matthew Yonts of Akron and Adam Tennant of Cleveland; nine great-grandchildren, Dominic, Jaiden, Nicholas Jr., and Nicolette Taylor, Dawson Jeziorski, Aleigha and John Rutherford III and Gianna and Nadiya Torres; and by one brother, William Hall Jr, of California.

She was preceded in death by; her parents, William and Fairy Belle Hall, seven brothers and four sisters. The family will receive friends on Sunday December 16, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-7:30pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. , (at Stoney Ridge Rd.

), North Ridgeville. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 7:30pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Pastor David Swartz will officiate the service.
