Obituary for Sophia Jean Gilbert Sophia Gilbert enjoyed 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Jack F. Gilbert. Loving mother of Lori Ryan (Mike Ryan, Sr), Lisa Gilbert, M.D. and recently departed/greatly missed Leslie Gilbert, M.D. (Neil Baltes).

Loving grandmother of Brynn Greene (Jeremy Greene), Michael Ryan, Jr (Ava Ryan), Hannah Ryan, Halle Baltes (Cameron Jones, USMC), and Grant Baltes. Adoring great grandmother of 4: The Greene children: Kinslee, Rylan and Brayden. And also Grayson Ryan.

Sophia was best known for her enormous social adventures, having friendships that started at Collinwood High School, some from her work at American Can Co., others from her work at the Ohio Unemployment Bureau, also very special Florida friends from the Ridge Wood community and most recently new friends from Beachwood Commons. She was an incredibly diligent worker and equally energetic in her social life. She loved family and embraced friends as part of her clan.

Interment to join Jack is private and will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. Also a semi-private, invitation only gathering TBA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cleveland MetroParks or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
