Stella Mae Silcox, age 78 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 4, 2018. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Turley Baptist Church. Stella enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by parents Jake and Pearl (Byrd) Silcox; brothers Henry, Estle and Boyce Silcox; nephew Gary Vitatoe; niece Angela Cox Mounts; great nephew Joseph Overbay; nieces husbands David Evans and B.J. Blankenship; special brother and sister-in-law Herman Vitatoe and Earlene Silcox. She is survived by brothers Ricky Silcox & wife Cathy of Jacksboro; sisters Imogene Vitatoe of LaFollette, Brenda Cox & husband Edward of Caryville, Lois Ayers & husband Danny of Jacksboro; 18 nieces & nephews, 30 great nieces & nephews, 35 great-great nieces & nephews, and 4 great-great-great nieces & nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday June 8, 2018 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev.
George Asbury and Rev. Joshua Blankenship officiating. Friends and family will meet 10 AM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Silcox Cemetery, Straight Fork for 11 AM interment.
