A celebration of life for Mrs. Stella Reece Gibson,75, will be held on Sunday February 10, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 5 p. m. at the Maury City First Baptist Church activities center with Rev. Mike Waddey presiding. Mrs. Gibson died Saturday February 2, 2019 at her residence after a short illness.

She was born in Lauderdale County, TN daughter of the late Dewey and Stella Ferguson Reece and had lived her entire life in Haywood and Crockett Counties. She was educated in the local schools and attended Memphis State University. Mrs. Gibson was a retired merchant of Gibson Lumber Company that she and her husband owned and operated.

Mrs. Gibson was very active in community activities and was a member of the Maury City First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of fifty five years, Billy Gibson, Maury City, TN, daughter Stacy Sartain (Marty), Maury City, TN, sisters Marilyn Brewer, Germantown, TN, Rodger McClanahan, (Davie), Brownsville, TN, Gloria Turman, (Joe) Birmingham, AL, sister in law, Rita Stokely. she was preceded by a brother and his wife, Dewey and JoAnn Reece.
