On Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 Stephen Lee Sorensen passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at the age of 72. Steve was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on November 12, 1945. He moved throughout his life as his job as a Nursing Home Administrator required until he settled in the Flathead Valley with his family in the spring of 1986.

Steve is survived by his two children, his son, Jeffrey Sorensen (Mindi), his daughter, Lisa Johnson (Jacob), four grandchildren; Amelie, Meg, Arden, and Zoren and by his brothers Gary and Fred Sorensen. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth and father, Oscar. Steve served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was an active member in his church and loved his church family. One of his greatest passions was playing the piano, which he frequently performed at church events. His friends will fondly remember him for his sense of humor and his smile.

Steve was a very loving father and grandfather who will be missed dearly by his family. A celebration of his life will be held at 5p.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Kalispell. Darlington Cremation and Burial Service is caring for Steve and his family.
