Stephen Mark Robertson, of Arlington, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019. He was born on July 28, 1950 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to Fletcher S. Robertson Jr. and Helen Elaine (George) Robertson. Steve blessed the lives of so many people.

He never met a stranger and always put the needs of others before his own. Steve was active in Boy Scouts as a young boy, became an Eagle Scout in February of 1965, and he was involved with Circle Ten Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was the Western Star District Camping Chairman from 1993-1995 exceeding all council goals for scouts and units, the 1996 District Popcorn Chairman leading a 55% increase in sales and profits, and was the District Award of Merit in 1996 which is the highest award that can be given to a volunteer.

He was instrumental in bringing the Western Star District Award banquet to Irving and increased attendance for the event to over 125 volunteers. Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 and a Master’s Degree in 1984. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1971 through 1978 and returned to Chicago upon his discharge.

He came to Texas as a consultant for Harris Manufacturing and ultimately purchased the company in 1998 where he served as President up until his death. Steve was devoted to his family and especially his grandchildren who affectionally referred to him as “Pops”. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Linda; sons Brian (wife Amber), Mark (wife Heidi), Kendall (wife Nicole); daughter, Kimberly (husband Tyler); 9 grandchildren; and one brother Jeff. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in Stephen’s memory to Boy Scouts of America. Memorial service for Stephen will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 3:00-5:00PM at Doxology Bible Church in Fort Worth.

Steve was God’s example of the new commandment in John 13:34, Love each other as I have loved you, and he will be greatly missed by all his family, employees, and many friends.
