Steven “Steve” Lee Arthurton, resident of Midwest City passed away on February 9, 2019. He was 70 years old. Steve was born on May 3, 1948 in Rochester, NY to Les Arthurton and Ida (Snodgrass) Arthurton.

He has one brother, Jack Arthurton. He attended Brighton High School in Rochester, New York and graduated in 1966. He attended S.U.N.Y Cortland for 1 year.

As a child and teenager he enjoyed playing baseball, tennis, soccer and golf but he especially loved bowling and Astronomy which he combined into his “Steve’s Pro Shop and Telescopes” business as an adult. Steve joined the U.S. Air Force in 1968-1972 and during that time was based in Thailand for one year. He was later Honorably Discharged.

He received a 39 year Recovery Award for Alcoholics Anonymous. He is survived by his significant other of 20 years, Glenda Crismon of Midwest City, OK; brother, Jack Arthurton of Roswell, GA; Nephew, Alex Arthurton; Great-Nephew, Jack Alexander Arthurton; Great-Neices Samantha Arthurton and Olivia Arthurton of Watkinsville, GA. He is also survived by his best friend Norm Seide of Moore, OK and numerous other friends and family.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Candlewood Chapel at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held at Ford Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 8:00 am -8:00 pm.
