Tomko, Jr. of Ardmore, Pennsylvania, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in Mercy-Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pa. Born in Weston, Pennsylvania, Steven was the oldest child of the late Stephen and Pauline Tomko. Steven is survived by his loving wife, Carole, his children, Courtney (Frank) Horrigan of Mt.

Lebanon, Pa. , Kenneth (Karen) Tomko of Geneva, Ill. , and Kristin Tomko of Ardmore, Pa.

, and six grandchildren, Matthew, Caroline and Jack Horrigan and Abby, Annie and Finn Tomko. Steve was a proud graduate of Penn State University, where he was Vice President of his Sophomore Class and President of the Insurance Club. After initially working in insurance, Steve spent his career in the oil and gas industry.

Steve was a lifelong fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions, and looked forward every summer to spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren on Long Beach Island, New Jersey. He loved his dogs, most especially his last scottie, Mickey. Funeral arrangements are private.

His family expresses their thanks to the staff of the Vitas Hospice at Mercy-Fitzgerald and Sunrise Haverford for their gentle and compassionate care.
