Obituary for Steven Jay Cohen STEVEN JAY COHEN, “Doc” passed away on October 26, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, was a graduate of the University of North Carolina “UNC” and later attended Philadelphia School of Optometry. Steven practiced optometry for 35 years and loved his work.

Steven was an avid lover of all things nature, enjoyed singing, playing guitar and loved James Taylor’s music. He will be sadly missed by his wife Christine Donatelli-Cohen of 40 years. He was the loving father of Joshua and Deborah Cohen; son of Ruth Cohen and the late Mel Cohen; brother of Jeff (Sherry), Doug (Ashli) and Adam (Coop).

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Bernadette (Rich) Fabrizio, nephew Jason Hildebrand, niece Kate Fabrizio and many extended family.
