Obituary for Steven John Schwartz Schwartz, Steven John beloved husband of Janet Nelson- Schwartz; proud father of Joey and Jenna; and grandfather (Papa) of Joey; passed away on Friday morning of June 22nd, 2018. Born on August 16, 1952 to Shirley and Stanley Schwartz. He was raised in Minneapolis, but was most recently a Golden Valley resident.

Steve attended and played football at Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis, then went on to play football at Winona State. He had many employments but he was most proud of being self-employed as an electronic technician. Steve was always a loving husband, fantastic father, excellent coach, and a rock and roll enthusiast – specifically Jimi Hendrix.

Steve was able to touch many of us through many different paths and will be truly missed. Memorial service 6/30/18 at 11AM at ELIM Lutheran Church, 3978 West Broadway. Visitation 6/29/18 from 4-8 PM at Washburn-McReavy Robbinsdale Chapel, 4239 West Broadway, and one hour prior to the service.
