Stewart, 49, Bowdon, formerly of Carrington and Chesterton, IN, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Carrington Hospital. A graveside service will be held at the Peterson Family Cemetery in Bowdon. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.

Steven Keith Stewart, son of Charles and Ilona (Negus) Stewart, was born May 30, 1969 at Valparaiso, IN. He was raised and educated in Chesterton, IN, graduating from Chesterton High School where he thoroughly enjoyed participating in the marching band as a drummer. Following his graduation in 1988, Steven worked as a security guard for several years and later worked for area restaurants as a dishwasher.

In recent years, Steven had resided in Carrington and Bowdon. He is survived by his wife, Safi Mahaleen of Seattle, WA; and his mother, Ilona Stewart and sister, Kimberly Stewart, both of Bowdon. Steven was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Angela.
