Larry Steven Wilson, 48, of 721 Highway 246 North, Greenwood, died Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his home. Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the loving son of his parents, William Charles Wilson and Cathie Watson Juergemeier. Steven loved to use his hands to build items such as birdhouses, dog houses and even dreamed of building a tiny house in his parents back yard.

Owning a farm was a dream of his, animals brought him joy and he wanted to rescue all he could. Steve had an old soul, he found the simplest pleasures in many things he encountered in his life epically having many friendships with the ladies in his life. One of his best attributes was telling stories and making jokes that made people smile.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking up new recipes. Larry was formerly employed with his mother and stepfather with Greenwood Fire Extinguishers. Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Cathie Mae Wilson of Columbia; brothers, Josh Mosteller of Shelby, NC, David Alan Helms of Lowell, NC and Johnathan Dola “J.

D.” Wilson of Lake Wylie, SC; cousins, Gina Mulligan of Belmont, NC, Steve Michael “Mike” Redmond of Indian Trail, NC and Honey Glines of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Larry Steven Helms and step father, Roy Juergemeier. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
