Steven Baron, Jr., 69, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Steven was born on January 6, 1950 in Passaic, NJ. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1967.

Steven attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and graduated in 1971 with a degree in accounting. Steven was employed as a Senior Accountant by Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies before retiring. After retirement, he joined Stop & Shop as a produce department associate.

As an avid sports enthusiast, he excelled in pole vaulting in high school and college. He participated in the Federated Russian Orthodox Clubs (FROC) basketball program as a player and coach. He was also active in the FROC bowling league.

Steven especially enjoyed following the NFL draft each year. He spent countless hours watching sporting events on TV and attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events over the years. He always said, ”I just want to see a good game!

” Survived by his loving wife Helen of 44 years, brothers Kenneth and his wife Marie of Wyckoff and Gregory and his wife Frances of Glen Rock, children Lauren Silvestre and her husband Alex of Hillsborough, Christopher Baron of Clifton, Stacy Anderson and her husband Steven of Waldwick, and David Baron and his wife Tania of Garfield. He was always happiest spending time with his grandchildren Nicholas Silvestre and Austin and Brielle Anderson. Visiting will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

Parastas 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Friday 10:45 am from the funeral home followed by an 11:30 am service at St. John the Baptist R.O. Church, 170 Lexington Avenue, Passaic. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
