OBITUARY Sue Brindle May 11, 1931 – December 14, 2018 Sue Brindle, age 87, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. Mrs. Brindle was born on May 11, 1931 in Mt. Holly, NC, daughter of the late Robert L. Skidmore and Robbie Russell Corzine.

Mrs. Brindle was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and a very proud and active member of Faith United Methodist Church for fifty-seven years. She sang in the choir and served as the choir director. She was also a member of the Journeymen Sunday School Class.

She organized the Manna Pantry and volunteered in the church office. Her passion was spending quality time with her family and her church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-two years, William Daniel Brindle; brothers, William T. Skidmore and Ned C. Skidmore.

Mrs. Brindle is survived by her three daughters, Lynn (Lewis) Cox; Leah (Ernie) Parr and Laura (Warren) Kennedy; grandchildren, Melissa (Tony) Duplechien, Mara Cox, Nicholas (Kayla) Parr, Joshua Parr, Will (Catherine) Hicks, Nikole (David) Kennedy-Wright and Chris Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Noah Duplechien, Hannah Duplechien, Logan Harrelson, Jenna Cox, Hudson Parr, Harper Parr, Alexis Parr, Alaina Parr, Jonathan Parr, Kaden Vance, Kaylee Vance, Nolan Wright, River Hicks and Walker Hicks; sister, Anne (Charles) Krites; several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 18th of December, 2018 at Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Charlie Marus officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock in the evening until eight on Monday, the 17th of December, 2018 at Owen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Brindle’s honor to the Manna Pantry at Faith United Methodist Church.
