Susan M. Drakos, 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in Port Chester, New York. She was born in Queens, NY to the late Nickolas and Lucy Drakos, and as an infant came to Staten Island, moving to Dongan Hills. She also lived in S.E. Annadale and Daytona Beach Florida, before moving to Port Chester, NY in 2017 to be with her daughter.

Susan was a self-employed hair stylist for approximately 40 years. She was a member of the NYS Hair Design and Skill Association, and through this association, taught at various schools. Susan enjoyed dancing and was a music lover, especially Motown, Oldies, and her favorite being Elvis.

”She was very creative, and anything she touched would turn to gold” said her daughters, Danielle and Janine. She also dabbled in interior decorating. She was also quite the hostess, enjoying hosting parties for friends and family.

Susan always had an open door policy for all to come and enjoy. Above all, she was a devoted mother, mother-in-law and grandmother and her family was her world. She loved and was truly loved and will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Danielle Migliore and Janine Motola, her treasured son-in-law, Joe Migliore, her dear siblings, Nickolas and Steven Drakos and her cherished grandchildren, Milena and Marco Migliore. Susan is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd.

(at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at St. Charles Church located at 644 Clawson Street Staten Island, New York. A private cremation will follow.
