Obituary for Susan M. Henry YARDVILLE – Susan M. Henry, loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away unexpectedly at her home in Hamilton Township, NJ on Saturday, September 8, 2018. She was born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Bordentown, NJ before moving to Hamilton Township, NJ with her husband. Susan is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Trenton, NJ.

She was a dedicated employee at Silk’s Pharmacy for many years and retired from Eckerd Pharmacy. She is predeceased by her parents Helen and Harold Sweeney, her in-laws Alfred H. Sr. and Ella May Henry, her aunt Genieve Wagner, sister-in-law Debra Sweeney, and brothers-in-law David W. and John P. Henry. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a loving family including her husband of 54 years, Alfred H. Henry Jr., daughters and sons-in-law Debra and Michael Flaherty and Denise and Douglas Kimball.

The greatest joys of Susan’s life were her grandchildren. She is survived by her granddaughter Kaitlin Leonardo and husband William, granddaughter Devan Flaherty and grandson, Ryan Kimball. She was also cherished by her loving brother, Charles Sweeney, her uncle Vincent Wagner, her best friend Nancy Wucinski, as well as the Hammer Family from South Bend, Indiana.

She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and long-time friends. Susan was a faithful parishioner of The Church of the Sacred Heart in Trenton, NJ. Susan truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the Jersey Shore.

She loved traveling and adventurous car rides with her husband. She was a huge fan of Notre Dame Football, the Yankees, the Phillies, and Pennsbury youth baseball. She cherished attending Broadway shows and marathon NYC shopping trips with her granddaughters.

She was the biggest fan at all of her grandson’s sporting events. Susan was an extreme weather enthusiast and loved a good storm report. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 11, from 5 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 8 to 9 am at Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave.

, Hamilton Twp. , NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church Trenton, NJ.

Final resting place will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton Twp. , NJ In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made in Susan’s memory to The Abramson Cancer Center within the University of Pennsylvania 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
