Obituary for Susan J. Giese Susan J. Giese (nee Tardio), age 82 of Lorain passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 15, 1936 to Michael and Marguerite (nee Covillo) in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. After the war her family moved to Lorain.

Susan enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family and friends as well as serving the Lord. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Frederick Giese; children, Veda (Michael) Wood, Anne (Jim) Tietz and Karl Giese; grandchildren, Jacob, Jenelle and Willie, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dominic, Fred and Joe; sisters, Florence and Mary; nieces, Margie and Susan and a nephew, Michael. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 20 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 21 at 9:00 A.M followed by Mass at 9:30 A.M. in St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain.

Rev. Craig Hovanec will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
