Mrs. Susan Kay Dowdy Peterson, age 75 of the Melber, Ky passed away at 1:52 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY. Susan was a member of the Ohio Valley Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include her four sons – Douglas D. Parks of Melber, KY, Brian Parks of Sheldon, IA, Gregory M. (Amy) Tisdale of Butler, PA and Kevin E. (Shawna) Dowdy of Arlington, KY; two daughters – Terri (Conrad) Denhartog of Sioux Falls, SD and Melissa K. (Morris) Rhea of Paducah, KY; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband – Dwayne Parks; 2nd husband – Eugene Dowdy, Jr.; 3rd husband – Ronald Peterson; two sons – Craig Parks and Bradley Parks; a sister – Jo Ann Myers and her parents – Merle & Lois Ricke Schumann. Funeral services for Susan will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. with Rev.

Terry Mitcheson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dowdy Cemetery in Mayfield. Friends are invited to call between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
