Obituary for Susan Schrage Susan Schrage, 67, of Howells passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Memorials can be directed towards Howells Rescue, Olean Cemetery Fund, or Family Wishes. Susan was born on December 6, 1950 in Dickinson, ND to Reinhold and Elsie (Hoerauf) Maas.

She attended school in Hebron, ND and graduated in 1969. After graduating high school Sue went on to study at the South Dakota School of Business in Rapid City, SD. While at school she Ronald Scharage who was stationed at the air base in Rapid City, they married on May 29, 1971.

After Ron was discharged they moved back to the Howells area. Sue belonged to the Christian Mothers at Olean. She enjoyed baking, and cooking especially with ingredients she grew in her garden.

She also loved crocheting, fishing, and going camping. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Ron of Howells, son Daniel (Christiana) Schrage of Beemer; and daughter Jacqueline Schrage of West Point; 2 sisters Pam (Jerry) Chase of Hebron, ND; Doreen Young of Bismarck, ND; and brother Rick Maas of Savage, MN and several nieces and nephews. Sue is preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Tamara.
