Obituary of Susan Chorney CHORNEY, Susan Elizabeth Age 69 of Elmira, NY. She was born October 2, 1948 in Elmira, daughter of the late Richard R. and Agnes E. (Golden) Taylor and passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters and brother-in-law Barbara A. and Thomas F. Rice and Rosemarie Taylor.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert Z. Chorney; children Robert Chad Chorney of ID, Nicole Susanne Chorney and Sarah Taylor Chorney both of Elmira; her loving grandchildren Nathan, Gianna, Jasiah, Donovan, Camille and Anastasia; brother Richard A. (Elizabeth) Taylor of FL; sister Mary Margaret (Joseph F.) Murphy of Elmira along with several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Susan had a strong Catholic faith. She was a devoted wife; loving mother, sister and friend.

She dearly loved her grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave. , Elmira on Sunday, April 22nd from 4 to 7 pm.

Prayers will be offered there on Monday, April 23rd at 9:30 am, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Rev. John DeSocio, Celebrant.

Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Susan through donations to a charity of ones choice.
