Obituary of Susan Bleck Susan “Suzie” Amelia Bleck, 82, of Fulton, collected her wings on February 21, 2019, and took her heavenly flight. A daughter to the late Raymond and Genevieve Dexter. Born on April 6th, 1936 she was a long-time resident of Fulton.

Sue was the youngest of her siblings; Margaret, Betty, Donald, and Paul. At the age of 8, Sue became very ill with a high fever causing her ear drums to burst, she had to learn to live without hearing. Attending Rochester School for the Deaf (R.S.D), she never felt “disabled”.

The school provided an enhanced educational and life growth experience for children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, giving Sue an opportunity to live life as normally as the hearing world would let her. In school, she loved playing basketball, could be why she had a high regard for Coach Boeheim and the SU Orangemen. Suzie was an avid bowler in both worlds.

In a Women’s League at Lakeview Lanes and with the O.C.A.D. (Oswego County Association of the Deaf). She was spotlighted on the show Bowling for Dollars.

She loved all genres of music, enjoying concerts at the Fairgrounds and local Field Days. She amazed people in a two-stepping class, not even realizing she couldn’t hear. Her disability never got in the way of her working.

Everyone will agree that Sue was a very hard worker. She worked at the P&C Warehouse, Sealright, and retiring from Black Clawson. Doing data entry was a challenge, but she never let it slow her down.

While working, and teaching sign language at night school at G. Ray Bodley H.S. she raised 3 children on her own. Suzie is survived by her children; Kathy (Dennis) Mason of Fulton, Anthony Bleck of Fulton, Penelope (Arnett) Bass of Texas. She adored her grandchildren; Samantha, Brandon, Stacey, Genevive, Halynn, Maya, and Arraya, and loved her great grandchildren; Raniyah, Cole, Onita, Dominic, Greyson, Laylah, Grace, Lorenzo, and Nolan.

Susan will be missed by so many, well expected, when living in two worlds. Her celebration and burial will be announced in the spring. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.
