Susie Dinger of Amsterdam, Ohio, passed away on September 9th, 2018 at the James Sokolove Cancer Treatment Center of cancer. She was born on February 22, 1955 to the late Judson and Ruth Martt. Susie is survived by her husband, Dale Dinger; her brothers and sisters, Macy (Roger) Reynolds, Jane (Kenny) Boone, Judson (Stephanie) Martt, Daniel (Ruth) Martt, Bill (Laurie) Martt, and Shirley (Mike) Kendrick; her children, Edith (Andrew) Wadkins and Macy (Jenny Butdorf) Dinger; and her grandchildren, Michelle and Damien Escobar.

Susie graduated Springfield High School and the University of Mount Union with Bachelors Degrees in Music and Education. She ran a private music studio out of her home for more than 30 years and taught music at Edison Local Schools for 19 years. She has mentored hundreds of students of all ability levels, and she helped many of them achieve superior ratings in voice or instruments.

She has played the organ and directed choirs for several area congregations, and she often spent her time volunteering her skills wherever she was needed. She directed Canoe Camp at Camp Presmont in Piedmont, Ohio for seven years. Recently she taught at the Center for Music and Arts in Wintersville, Ohio.

Susie’s memory is cherished deeply by many students, friends, family, and kitties. The memorial service will be at the Everhart- Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd. , Wintersville, OH on Saturday, October 27 at 2.
