Suzanne C. Fox Beer, 75, of Parker passed away at 1:00 AM Saturday morning at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburg following an illness. Born in Parker, PA. on Jamuary 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Stanley E. and Sarah Jane Fithian Fox.

She graduated in 1960 from Allegheny-Clarion Valley School in Emlenton where she served as Senior class treasurer. Suzanne was a longtime member of the Parker United Methodist Church. Following graduation, she was employed for a period of time as a secretary with the former Heckett Engineering Co. of Butler.

She then began a career in banking which lasted over three decades at the Parker operation of the now NexTier Bank from where she retired over ten years ago. A kind and gentle person in many ways, she was totally devoted to the care of her family. She is survived by her husband Charles R. “Chuck” Beer whom she married in December of 1963.

Also survived by daughter Carrie and husband Scott Atkins of Marion, NC; two grandchildren: Marcus Chapman and Crystal Atkins, both of Marion, NC. She is also survived by four siblings: brother Keith and wife Roberta Fox of Bruin; sisters: Lt. Col.

Ret. Charlotte fox and spouse William Zimmerman of Fayetteville, NC; Deborah “Debbie” Fox of Summerville, PA; and Sheila and husband Tim Elder of Emlenton. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Inm addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christina Atkins on May 1, 2015. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington Ave. , Parker, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday.

Interment will follow at Parker Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Parker City Vol. Fire Dept.
