Obituary Sylestine B. Davis, 91, departed this life April 26, 2019 in Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth. Born in Cumberland, Va. she resided in Roselle 54 years.

She was a graduate of Virginia State College in Ettrick, Va. Before moving to New Jersey, she taught at the historic Thyne Institute in Chase City, Va. After moving to New Jersey she was a school teacher at Louise A. Spencer Elementary School in Newark.
