She was a long time active member of the PTA, serving in many roles, including President. She served as the Secretary of the Cottonwood Heights Historic Committee and took pride in creating the displays for Buttlerville Days and other events. Sylvia enjoyed working in her yard, camping, traveling, going to the movies, and taking long drives.

On her drives she loved to take you on a scenic route or the back roads. She was able to make just about anything grow, and her yard is full of beautiful plants and flowers as proof. Sylvia had many cherished friendships and she loved spending time with each of her dear friends.

She especially loved spending time with her Granddaughters. Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Nikkel (Troy Hayden), Dayna (Nadeem Nasir), Suzanne (Chris O’Bryant), and Lorrie; sisters, Gayle Conger and Laura Miller; granddaughters, Gracie, Sophie & Ellie (O’Bryant). Her family is also thankful for the many friends and neighbors who were so supportive during the past six months.
