OBITUARY T. Michael Doyle June 6, 1938 – January 1, 2019 T. Michael Doyle died peacefully in his sleep on New Year’s Day at the age of 80. He was the loving husband of Melinda; proud father of Tom, John, Bill, Megan, and Josh; father-in-law of Beth, Riccardo, and Scottie; devoted grandfather of Kendalyn and Ayden; and beloved brother of Maureen McRae, Katie Kennicott, Ellen McKay, Terrie Stevens, and Molly Lambert. An all-state football player at St. Mary Cathedral High School, Mike graduated from Michigan State University and always remained a staunch supporter of the school.

He had a long and successful career as an attorney in an extraordinarily wide set of practice areas, with offices in Michigan, Florida, and Washington, DC. He served on the Lansing Board of Fire Commissioners. As reported last year in the State Journal, Mike Doyle, along with Dick Whitmer and others, participated in sponsoring Gregory Eaton, the first African-American applicant to the Country Club of Lansing.

Mike loved summers on Lake Michigan with his family and friends, especially when hosting the annual reunion of the Doyle clan. All who knew him will miss his strong presence in their lives. In the coming weeks, the family will schedule a funeral service and celebration of Mike’s life.
