Tammi Sue Walker was born November 28, 1968, to Bert and Jane (Pearson) Batterson, in Centerville, Iowa. Tammi grew up in the Centerville area and was a graduate of Centerville High School and earned a MPA at Drake University. She worked for Drake University Head Start and more recently she worked in human services for Capstone Behavioral Healthcare.

On April 8, 1995, she was united in marriage to Ryan Walker in Centerville, Iowa. They have one daughter, Hiedi Sue. Tammi loved going to concerts, and shopping at Hobby Lobby for supplies to make crafts.

She always looked forward to girls weekends and spending time together. Tammi was an amazing friend, encourager and helped people to see things in a different light. She loved her husband, her daughter, her grandchildren, her family and friends, and her dog Lexi.

Tammi is survived by her husband Ryan, her daughter Hiedi Sue and Mason Moorman of Newton, Iowa, and her grandchildren: Jane Sue Orr, Aiden Eugene Smith, Charley May Sutton and Walker King Sutton. She is also survived by her siblings: Bobby Heriford of Marshalltown, and Cassy and Ray Lester and their children: Ian, Liam, and Jackson all of Spokane, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Jane (Batterson) Heriford and her step-father Ken Heriford and her brother Tim Batterson.
