She was born in Ganado, Texas on October 23, 1975, to the late Pedro Jerome Galindo and Cynthia Lynn Hermes Galindo. Tanya went to school and graduated from Ganado ISD, and then went off to Wharton Junior College where she received her Associates degree in medical records and was currently working at PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Victoria.

She will always be remembered for her amazing and sassy personality and her wonderful smile and humble heart. Tanya was also a very loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and dear friend who will be truly missed. Tanya is survived by her two fur babies, Miley Marie and Gidget; sister and brother in law, Elizabeth Hope and Fredrick Green; brothers and sister in laws, Clayton and Wendy Martin-Galindo; brother and sister in law, Anthony and Brady Galindo; brother and sister in law, Adam and Bonnie Galindo; life partner, Mark Hernandez; grandmother, Nina Templin; nieces and nephews, Cheyenne Galindo, Perris Galindo, Madison Green, Jurnee Green, Ace Galindo, Rhylee Green, Peyton DeBord, and Gage DeBord; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and true friends.

In addition to her parents Tanya is preceded in death by her grandparents, J.C. Hermes, Eufemia Galindo, and Anicacio Galindo; one brother, Benjamin Galindo. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel, Burial following in the Memory Gardens Cemetery of Edna, with Brother Ryan Carpenter officiating.

Pallbearers will be Michael Ortiz, Kevin Galindo, Colin Marshall, Fredrick Green, Shannon Johnson, John Sablatura, Jeremy Young and Fred Jones. Honorary Pallbearers are PAM Rehabilitation Hospitals’ staff and her nieces and nephews.
