Ted Rodriguez Obituary Photo

Age 61, late of East Side, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018. Beloved husband of Gerry Rodriguez (nee Anaya). Loving stepfather of Andrea (Rudy) Camacho, Fred Galindo, Manuel (Sue) Galindo and Geraldo (Jessica) Galindo.

Caring grandfather of 13. Proud great grandfather of 6. Cherished brother of Xavier (late Joan) Rodriguez, Lucy (late Max) Sosa, Jesse (Guillermina) Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Richard (Patricia) Rodriguez and Virginia Rodriguez.

Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dear friend to many. Preceded in death by parents: Teodoro and Jovita Rodriguez.

Ted was a member of the International Harbor of Grace Church. He loved music and photography. Ted worked for Peoples Gas.

God saw that he was very tired, And a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him, And whispered, “Come to Me”. With tearful eyes We watched him suffer And we saw him fade away, Although we love him deeply We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, And hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the very best. I’M FREE Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.

I’m following the path God’s laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I took His hand and left you all.

I could not stay another day. To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way.

I’ve found my place at the end of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, And you know these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with time of sorrow, wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I’ve savored much. Good friends, family, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time here seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undo grief Lift up your hearts and share with me The joy of the place God’s made for me. He’s called me home and now I’m Free.
