Obituary for Terence McNerney Terence Patrick McNerney, 63, of Long Branch, died at his home on Monday, July 2, 2018 surrounded by his family. Terry was born on November 1, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Hazlet. He graduated from Raritan High School in 1973.
He married his forever love, Susan Bossone AKA “Susie Belle” in 1976 and together raised three beautiful children. He was an electrician for over 40 years. Partnering up with his brother Brian, they successfully owned Ram Electric as well as being a proud member of IBEW Local 400.
Big Ter’s passion for life was his family. Hosting many gatherings, there was no greater holiday than a McNerney Thanksgiving. Fishing and cooking were a few of his favorite past-times not to mention football Sundays cheering on Big Blue.
Terry’s happiest moments of all were the times spent laughing with the ones he loved. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Genevieve McNerney and Erin’s fiancé, Robert Brinton. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Susan; his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Peter Marrin; his daughter, Erin McNerney; his son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Karen McNerney; five grandchildren, Grace, Isabella, Tompkins, Griffin and Genevieve, with another grandson on the way; his beloved and devoted siblings and their spouses, Brian & Laurie McNerney, Eileen Rasmussen, Neil & Patricia McNerney; Charles & Mary Dunn, and Francis and Francine Reinecke; brother-in-law, Robert Bossone and partner Gail Crespy and his nieces and nephews; godchildren; countless friends and his pets.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 12 noon at St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jerome Sports Association, 250 Wall Street, West Long Branch, NJ 07764.
