Teresa Ann Hinton, 49, of Deputy, passed away at 10:22 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon. Born August 11, 1969, in Franklin, Teresa was the daughter of Carolyn (Grogg) Pate and the late Robert Summers. Teresa attended Washington High School in Indianapolis and enjoyed playing bingo, cards, making crafts, camping and fishing, supporting breast cancer awareness.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Corey Pevehouse of North Vernon; daughters, Kimberly Piper of New Castle and Cortney Pevehouse of Deputy; mother and step-father, Carolyn and Harlan Pate of North Vernon; brothers, Robert (Tia) Summers of North Vernon and Dewayne Pate of North Vernon; sisters, Sandy (Lloyd) Criscillies of Poland, and Crystal Nutt of Maryland; grandchildren, Daniel Shelton, Christopher Shelton, Memphis Shelton, Emmett Shelton all of Somerset, Kentucky, Hunter Graham of North Vernon and Mia Richardson of New Castle. She was preceded in death by her father.

A funeral service for Teresa will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to National Breast Cancer Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness.
