Obituary for Mrs. Teresa M. Pascoe Teresa Maria Pascoe (nee Benvenga) passed away on Sunday June 17, 2018 one day before her 90th birthday. Mrs. Pascoe was born and raised in San Severo, Italy to the late Luigi and Irma Benvenga. During World War II she met an American Soldier named Samuel Pascoe and they fell in love.

When the War ended, Samuel was sent home only to return to Italy to marry Teresa on December 26, 1946. She then moved to America in the summer of 1947 traveling alone with only a smuggled puppy to keep her company. She lived with her husband’s family in Northeast Philadelphia and then Jessup Street in Philadelphia before moving to Paulsboro in 1959.

She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader when her children were being raised, member of the Paulsboro Volunteer Fire Association Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Paulsboro Ambulance Association and a devoted member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. John’s Church where she belonged to the Legion of Mary. She is survived by her daughters, Anna and James Morrison, Sonia Pascoe; her daughter in law, Gail Pascoe; Cherished Nonna of Lori and Robert Pascoe, Samantha and Steve Stone, James and Meghan Morrison, Jacqueline and Jonathan Ashley, Michael, Giovanni and Kenneth Ward, Antonio Sedero; 8 great grandchildren; her brother, Antonio and Lori Benvenga of Torino, Italy and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pascoe was predeceased by her beloved husband, Samuel Pasco and her sons, George and Lewis.
