Lake, 64 of Shawnee, Kan. , passed away on Feb 22, 2019, at Shawnee Mission Medical center after complications from emergency surgery stemming from ongoing cancer treatments. She was born to Merle (Curtin) Pierson and Robert Pierson on January 13, 1955 in Denver, Colo, and spent most of her life living in both Colorado and Kansas City.

She is survived by her daughters Jennifer M. Lake-Ramsey (Brandon) of Olathe, Kan. , and Elizabeth M. Lake (Evan) of Shawnee, Kan; grandchildren Jacoby Balmer, Lorelei Balmer and Catherine Ramsey, Olathe, Kan; sister Vicki Oberzan (Tom) of Lawrence, Kan; brother Mark (Tracy) of Kiowa, Colo; brother Matthew (Patricia), of Mt. Crested Butte, Colo; sister-in-law Marilyn Lake, Urbandale, Iowa.

She was also survived by one niece and five nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin F. Lake; her brother-in-law Michael Lake; and her parents. Terri worked in the Shawnee Mission school district for almost two decades in various departments and was loved by her coworkers for her quick wit.

An avid reader, Terri always carried a book with her, and often was reading at least two more at home. She loved spending time with the whole family in Colorado and being Nana to her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
