Obituary for Terrill Landry “Terry” Brown Homegoing services for Mr. Terry (Terrill) Landry Brown will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00 at Word of Grace in Pineville, Louisiana with Pastor Russell Cobb and Reverend Greg Dunn officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 Friday afternoon at Word of Grace under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana. Intermittent will be held at Springhill Cemetery.

Terry was born June 07, 1943 in New Orleans, LA. and raised in Alexandria, Sikes, and Pineville, LA. He was a proud graduate of the 1961 class of Pineville High School.

He worked at Ingram’s Supermarket for 9 years. He then opened his own business, of Terry’s Carpet & Floor Covering and later Terry’s Pools for 45 years. He served the community on the Planning Commision for several years.

In his young adulthood he enjoyed rodeoing frequently with his friends and family. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his camps in Sikes, LA and Toledo Bend. He enjoyed attending church and fellowshiping with his church family.

He was very proud his ancestors were the founders of Sikes, LA and his father (T.J. Brown) and his uncle (Harold Brown) were part of the original Borden’s Milk and Ice Cream brought to CENLA. Terry was tenacious with everything he laid his hands to do. He helped support people in need of work in the community and enjoyed seeing his family and friends become successful.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother and father, T.J. Brown and Lola Inez Dunn Brown Christophel, his brother Kenneth Harold Brown, sister Cynthia Kay Brown Bolton and Brother-In-Law J.C. Bolton, and his mother and father-in-law Joseph Franklin Powell and Bessie Scroggins Powell. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Joyce Powell Brown, daughter Tonya LaShea Brown Normand (Tony), granddaughter Brittany LaShea Normand, brother Timothy Dunn Brown (Cathy), Sister-in-Laws Frankie Powell McCartney (J.L.), Sandy Powell Kirtland (Mike), Brenda Powell Mercer (Jaybird), Tina Powell Wagoner (Bo) and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends that worked for/with Terry. Pallbearers will be Brent Mercer, Judd Bolton, Jeremy Bolton, T.J. Brown, Ty Kirtland, Chad Wagoner, Clint Wagoner, Earl Smith and Tom Cain.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Bardwell, Tucker Chandler, Jake Wells, Justin Wells, Seth Bolton, and Tyler Bolton.
