Terry Eugene Jackson April 30, 1952 – December 23, 2018 Terry Eugene Jackson, 66, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the UVA Medical Center. Terry was born in Pulaski, Virginia on April 30, 1952 to the late Owen Eugene Jackson and Imogene Horton Jackson Conway. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Janet; sister, Vickie Williams and husband Danny of Swan Point, Maryland; sister, Heather Dyer and Tommy of Marriottsville, Maryland; step-father Thomas Conway and Mae of Everett, PA and in-laws, Nancy and Bob Grubb, Dicky and Ruby White, the late Lonnie White and Judy, and Sandy and Steve Holston.

He will be missed by ten (10) nieces and nephews as well as other extended family members and special friends. Terry proudly served his country in the U S Navy serving on the Aircraft Carrier USS America and on the river boats in the waters of Vietnam. In addition, he made many other contributions to our country with his civilian work with the National Security Agency (NSA), military and many other government agencies.

Born: April 30, 1952 Death: December 23, 2018 Terry had an enthusiasm and zest for life like no other. He had a multitude of hobbies, a contagious laugh and a winning personality. He loved his family and friends and foremost the Lord.

Memorial service will be held January 9, 2019 at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church located at 46 Hunters Ridge Road, Dugspur, VA 24325 with Dr. Ricky Atkins officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 at the church with service to follow at 1:00 PM. Military rites service will be held at the cemetery at Bethany United Methodist Church, Lead Mine Road, Austinville, VA 24312 on January 10th at 11:00 AM.

Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
