Terry was surrounded by countless family, longtime friends, and so much love. Terry Duane Trosen was born on May 26th, 1960 to Duane and Shirley Trosen.

He was the third of five children and grew up on the family farm in Larimore. Terry attended school in Larimore where he made many lifelong friends. He was active in 4-H, FFA, football and wrestling.

He had a great love for cars and on most Saturday nights you would find him along with his friends crammed in a car cruising the streets of Larimore. Terry attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton for small engine repair and salesmanship. On December 12, 1981, Terry married Sandra Barry.

Together they had three daughters Rachel, Sarah, and Emily. Terry loved and adored his three girls more than anything in the world. He enjoyed attending all of their school activities, never missed a parent teacher conference and was always there for them with his bear hugs and whisker rubs.

Terry loved the Larimore community and served it with pride. He was on the Larimore School board for nineteen years and oversaw as President for many of those years. He was very involved with the Lions Club and served on the Military Affairs Committee.

Terry managed Trosen Ford Inc. for many years working alongside his father Duane. Countless pinochle and whist games were played over the desk with many stopping in for coffee and a good visit. In 2002 he discovered a new venture in life by purchasing Good Friends Bar and Grill in Larimore, where he enjoyed spending time visiting with all who entered.

He was always polite, kind, and generous to a fault. Always a “thank you” and a “sir”. Terry had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.

He valued hard work, cherished the many friendships he had, never forgot a birthday, was an excellent story teller, and enjoyed western movies, especially John Wayne. His daily phone calls will be missed by many. Terry was a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

His presence brought joy for so many. He will be missed by family, friends, and the community of Larimore.
