OBITUARY Mrs. Thada Summers Hanson September 10, 1931 – January 27, 2019 Thada Summers Hanson, 87, passed way Sunday January 27, 2019. Funeral Service: 3:30 pm Wednesday Jan 30, 2019 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday Jan 29, 2019 at Laurel Land.

Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Thada was born on September 10, 1931 and was the youngest of five girls to Victor and Virginia Summers. She graduated from Longview High School and she attended Kilgore-Junior College.

Thada married Bill Hanson in 1952 and was a homemaker for their three children. She did all the things a stay at home mom does while Bill did everything a working dad does. After retirement, Thada and Bill traveled a lot, spent time at their home on Lake Cherokee, and she enjoyed walking and visiting friends at the Hulen Mall.

Thada is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bill Hanson; parents, and four sisters. She is survived by her children, Michael Hanson, Ken Hanson (Pam), and Kay Greenlee( Scott); grandchildren, Becky, Matthew, Natalie, Nicolas, Brittany, Michael, Patrick, and Sara; and two great-grandchildren.
