Thelma L. Rader September 17, 1916 – December 24, 2018 Thelma L. Rader, age 102, Nappanee, formerly of Bremen, died at 3:25 pm, Monday, December 24, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa. She was born September 17, 1916 in Elkhart to Al and Maude (Clindaniel) Davis. Mrs. Rader attended Lapaz High School and was a lifetime resident of Bremen.

On February 16, 1941, she married Richard C. Rader in Wabash. He preceded in death May 2, 2011. Thelma was a farmwife and homemaker.

She also had been a cook at Bremen Hospital. She was a member of Nappanee Missionary Church, where she quilted with her friends. She was also a member of the American War Mothers.

Surviving are her sons, David (Paula) Rader, John (Sandy) Rader, both of Bremen; grandchildren, Kirk (Susan) Rader, Kara (Chris) Lovelace, Katrina (Scott) Rodesler, Andrew (Jennie) Rader, Marc (Allison) Rader; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen McGowen and brother, Dale Davis. Family and friends may call from 10-11 am, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel, followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place at 1:30 pm at Bremen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Nappanee Missionary Church Children’s Dept. The family would like to give special thanks to Heritage House Staff in Nappanee for their kindness and care.
