Thelma Violet Murta, 86 Thelma Violet Murta, 86 of Wheelersburg, died Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Best Care in Wheelersburg. She was born November 7, 1931 in West Portsmouth to the late Donavon and Jennie Vernier Murta. Along with her parents Thelma was preceded in death by 2 brothers; William Murta and Robert Murta and a sister Dorothy Hatfield.

Thelma is survived by 2 brothers; Fredrick Murta of Circleville and Russell Murta of Sciotoville, 3 sisters; Ruth Stir of Niceville, FL, Helen Rayburn and Evelyn Conley both of Lucasville, along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Best Care Staff for the kindness and love they showed to Thelma over the years. She thought of them as a part of her family.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday September 29, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with James Weaver officiating. Visitation will be at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 11 to 1:00 PM on Saturday prior to the graveside. Condolences may be sent to www.
