OBITUARY Theodore Deane McKelvey April 16, 1928 – August 14, 2018 Theodore Deane McKelvey, age 90 years, 3 months, and 29 days, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 14, 2018. Originally from Pennsylvania, son of the late Charles Ernest McKelvey and Sara (McCafferty) McKelvey. He was married to the late Janet (Fuller) McKelvey beloved wife of 60 years.

He is survived by his three children, Craig McKelvey of Middlefield, Massachusetts, Alice McKelvey, and her spouse Terry Busheme of Glastonbury, Connecticut, Charles Alan McKelvey, his spouse Staci, and two grandchildren, Mitchell Theodore and Samantha Marie, of Cromwell, Connecticut. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, having served in the US Army. He was a member of the Simsbury United Methodist Church as well as active in Simsbury’s Metacon Gun Club, and more recently Southington Bell City Rifle Club.

A service of remembrance will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Simsbury United Methodist Church, 799 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT. 06070, with Military Honors immediately following the church service. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
