Thilda’s Obituary Thilda “Tillie” Ann Maiorana, 87, a native of Lutcher,LA and resident of Houma passed away Saturday February 2,2019 at 4:30 P.M. Visitation will be on Tuesday February 5, 2019 from 10:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 P.M. at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. Recitation of the Rosary will be at Noon. Interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery II.

Miss Tillie is survived by her sons: Jay, Jerry and wife Pam, and Sal and wife Kristi Maiorana. Sisters: Janis and Catherine LeBlanc. Grandchildren: Brittany, Dominic, and Alaina Maiorana.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Salvador Maiorana. Parents: Joseph and Adela Decareaux Lambert . Brothers: Lowell Lambert and sisters Francis Veron, Jeanette LeBlanc and Sylvia Lambert.

She was a substitute teacher in the Jefferson Parish School system and at St. Bernadette School in Houma where she was affectionatly known as Miss Tillie. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and being with family and friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to her three special sitters and Journey Hospice, especially Amie and Cindy, for their loving care and compassion shown Miss Tillie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Alzheimers Association or American Cancer Society preferred. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Maiorana family.
