OBITUARY Thomas Alex Thompson April 26, 1940 – July 15, 2018 Thomas Alex Thompson, 78, was born April 26,1940 in Preston, Idaho to Ivan Hall Thompson and Ella Margret Lundquist Thompson. He succumbed to the effects of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis-Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and passed away on July 15, 2018, at Banner Del E Webb Hospital, Arizona. He is survived by his wife of 49-years, Annette (Nielsen) Thompson and his son, Anthony Alexander Thompson and daughter in law, Kenisha Eranda; Grandchildren, Acacia Jahzara and Raymond Ivan; Two siblings, Dennis L Thomson and Margaret Ann Silk and 18 nieces and 19 nephews.

Thomas is predeceased by sibling, Ivan Barry Thompson. He served honorably in the United States Army and was the Vice President of Materials Management for American Healthcare Systems/Premiere. Thomas was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served a senior mission in Des Moines, Iowa.

Thomas was a devoted father, husband, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather and uncle. He is gravely missed, but he is free and there is a lot of family welcoming him at heaven’s gate. They loved him too.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, please make a contribution to the Barrow Neurological Institute ALS Clinic, 350 W Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85013. There will not be a funeral. Family Viewing & Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery.

It is hot so casual wear is recommended.
