Thomas Ralph Berkey, 71, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his home. The son of Bernon and Helen (Conrad) Berkey, he was born June 8, 1947 in Indiana, PA. Thomas was a veteran serving in the United States Navy from 1966 – 1970 ono USS Intrepid.

He was a member of the Indiana Moose and American Legion. Thomas was employed by Fisher Scientific for 34 years prior to beginning employment at Arin Intermediate Unit for the past 6 years. Thomas enjoyed tinkering in the garage and collecting cars.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving is his wife, Frances Carol Berkey; children, Jennifer (Jarrod) Smith and Thomas (Chrissy) Berkey, II; and a grandson, Zachary Berkey. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with Chaplain Lori Parks, officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery with Military Rites provided by VFW Post 1989.
