Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 28, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Billy Cardwell officiating.

Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Ruth Stokes, father, Lynn A. Stokes, sister, Ruth Danley and a brother, Phillip Stokes.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Stokes, Chancellor, AL; daughters, Angela L. Buxton (Chris) Enterprise, AL; sons, Hugh E. Barber (Michelle) Enterprise, AL; Mark C. Barber (Wendy) Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Brandon Rutherford, Enterprise, AL; Bethany Goad (Jason) Enterprise, AL; Tracy Barber (Chelley) Dothan, AL; Destinie Polk; Amber McAnear; Christopher Carnley; brother, Earl Stokes (Elizabeth) Enterprise, AL; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to DaySpring Hospice for their loving care and attention during Buddy’s illness.
